My favorite Nalgene 750ml bottle had turned into a "dribble" bottle. This ring is the correct size to fit over the neck and seal against the cap when the cap is screwed on. Not perfect - when you unscrew the cap, a little water that was sitting above the ring will drip. But I'm not getting dripped on when I drink.

Small Parts 353:: Description


This silicone O-ring is red in color, round in shape, has a durometer of 7OA, and is designed for use in a wide variety of sealing applications.

Silicone is acceptable for temperature applications between -65 degrees F (-54 degrees C) to 450 degrees F (232 degrees C). It has good resistance to ozone, weather, detergent, salt water, engine and transmission oil, non-petroleum brake fluid, hydraulic fluids that resist fire, vegetable and animal oils, and high molecular weight chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons. Silicone is vulnerable to mechanical wear and tear, water and steam over 250 degrees F (121 degrees C), aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene), chlorinated hydrocarbons (trichloroethylene), acids and bases, and hydrocarbon fuels.

O-rings commonly provide a pressure and fluid seal between cylindrically shaped, overlapping mating surfaces and are commonly seen in engines, faucets, flanges, valves, and various cylinders. They are circular in shape, with a round cross section and a hole in the center, similar to a doughnut. O-rings are available in a number of sizes, and can be ordered based on required nominal inside diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD), and cross-sectional (CS) diameter.

This silicone O-ring has a shore durometer of 70A. Shore durometer is the hardness of a material, and its resistance to permanent indentation. A higher durometer value indicates greater resistance to indentation on a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 indicating no indentation.

This silicone O-ring meets standards defined by Aerospace Standard AS568A, which is the Aerospace Size Standard for O-rings.

I had one of these years ago and was glad to see Kabar still offered it. It is smaller than most fixed blade knives but I find it very useful and handy. It's made in Taiwan now but still has the Kabar warranty. A great knife and sheath at a great price. Less is more.

I purchased this knife a couple of years ago for my son, who was about 9 at the time. The knife is a handsome little thing, but not for big hands. Quality is very good, and the price is a great bargain. I can't understand the bias against Taiwan made goods. I have a number of KaBar U S A made knives, and the quality is better, but this is a good, solid, knife.KaBar does a good job at quality control on all their line. When I order one, I don't have to wonder if the knife will meet my standards. If you own tools, Delta, etc., look at the label, Taiwan makes most of this stuff now. Has for twenty years. SOGS are made there, and they want WAY more $ If you have a little guy around the house, I think he would very much like this as his first 'belt' knife, mine did. Still does.

We purchased two of these as gifts and neither one had great luck. Both were able to get a few mushrooms from them but not a lot...it was neat that some grew but a little dissapointing that there weren't a lot more for the price of the logs. One of the ones we purchased went to a warmer area of Oregon and that one did a little better than the one that went to colder/dryer southern Idaho. If they would have produced as many mushrooms as in the picture I would have given 5 stars, just because it is neat to watch them grow. Only 4 stars due to only a few mushrooms.

I bought mushroom kits (not logs) last year and they were a great success. But this one was a complete waste of money. Look elsewhere before you too throw good money away.

I got this for my Mom for Christmas. She's into organic and locally produced food, so its right up her ally. She loved it and says its already fruiting quite well after only two weeks. If you follow the instructions carefully (chill the log to induce fruiting, NO chlorinated water, etc), it should be fairly easy to produce your own mushroom crop.
